Yamamoto-type soil hardness meter - popular model

It is much lighter and lower in price than the conventional product (standard type).

This is a soil hardness meter that faithfully adheres to the basic principle design of Dr. Kinjirou Yamanaka, PhD in Agriculture. ■ It weighs 1/5 of the conventional model (standard type), making it easy to carry. ■ It is cost-effective and ideal for use as educational material in schools. ■ The main body is made of resin. *To reduce costs, the material is made of resin. Therefore, some degree of scale expansion may occur due to temperature differences. Customers seeking precision are advised to use the conventional Yamanaka standard type.

Soil Hardness Meter (Yamanaka Type) S-117

It can be used for soil profile measurements as it directly indicates important engineering properties such as soil compaction strength, shear strength, and cohesion in situ.

- It directly indicates important engineering properties such as soil compaction strength, shear strength, and cohesion in situ, making it useful for soil profile measurements. - Reliable data can also be obtained for determining the bearing capacity and stability of the subsoil.

Soil hardness meter Yamanaka type

The Yamamoto-type soil hardness meter is an instrument that measures soil hardness, which is one of the physical properties of soil.

When a cone is pressed vertically into a flat-cut cross-section, both the depth of cone penetration and the corresponding soil reaction force (spring compression) are measured simultaneously as variables, from which the theoretical hardness value (kg/cm²) is calculated. Due to this unique principle, a wide range of hardness from soft soil to soft rock can be accurately measured in a matter of seconds. Additionally, it can be universally applied to general soft materials other than soil.

Soil hardness meter Yamanaka standard type

Soil hardness meter Yamanaka standard type

By pressing a cone vertically into a flatly cut cross-section, a wide range of hardness from soft soil to soft shore can be accurately measured in a few seconds. There are also inexpensive models made of resin for general use.
